Shortly after 3am, gardaí and emergency services were alerted when the body of a man in his 40s was discovered at a residential property on Connolly Street, Cavan.

The wait would be 137 years in Longford town, 116 years in Roscommon town, and 109 years in Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim.

The call will be made at Longford County Council's meeting this afternoon.

The proposed works will consist of junction tightening in six key areas around the Co Leitrim town.

Two women and a man, all aged in their 20s, were arrested in relation to the incident, which happened around 1pm.
