The HSE has confirmed that a new number for the out of hours doctor service for the west of Ireland comes into effect next week.
The Westdoc service covers Roscommon, Galway and Mayo and operates from 6pm until 9am the following day.
The phone number of the public to contact the service and speak to a nurse or doctor is changing from November 1st.

The new number is 0818 360 000 and the 1850 number will be discontinued and will not be in service.
