The family of a man who died after an alleged attack in Co Leitrim plan to repatriate his body to Latvia for his funeral.
They've launched a fundraising appeal to help with the costs, which are estimated at over €4,600.
Janis Balodis, 41, was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive at a home in Arderry, between Ballinamore and Carrigallen, last Thursday night.
Bartosz Cylka, aged 36, with an address at Arderry, Corrawaleen, was charged with his murder on Saturday.
The Polish native is due to appear in Carrick-on-Shannon District Court again tomorrow.
Janis is originally from Latvia.
And his sister, Inga Jakovleva, says the family's greatest wish is to bring him back there, so they can see him off properly and arrange a funeral in his homeland with family and relatives.
She says the repatriation of his body from Ireland to Latvia and funeral arrangements requires considerable financial means, which her family is currently unable to fully provide.
Therefore, she says they're sincerely asking anyone who can, to provide financial support.
She says every donation, no matter the size, is very important to them.
Details are available on her Facebook page.
