Longford-Westmeath TD Micheál Carrigy has been speaking after a turbulent couple of weeks for Government.

The County Longford Drug and Alcohol Forum recently launched a new website for support services.

Several posts remain unfilled due to resignations and retirements, while others are impacted by sick leave and maternity leave.

The Scottish woman was asked about the case in north Longford last night.

The 14th-century Dominican friary stands on a site near Frenchpark and is currently still active as a graveyard.

It's expected to provide a boost to the local economy with over 120 teams taking part.

That's according to figures published by the Department of Housing.

Their first demonstration took place last Sunday, when around 300 people marched around the town.
