Hundreds of new homes are being developed in Co Roscommon, due to the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant.
That's according to Independent councillor Laurence Fallon.
522 applications for these grants have been made in Roscommon, with 380 approved in principle.
Funding has been issued in 149 cases - with the average payout being nearly 60,000 euro.
