Water supply returns to south Leitrim after two burst pipes

Water supply is returning to customers in south Leitrim this evening, according to Uisce Eireann.

It follows two bursts to a water main between Ballinamore and Keshcarrigan earlier today.

Uisce Éireann says its crews have carried out repair works and the network is currently recharging.

It's expected that the majority of customers who experienced a disruption in Fenagh, Ballinamore and Keshcarrigan will have normal supplies within the next few hours.

However, it may take longer for supply to return to customers living on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann thanked customers for their patience as the network recharges.
