Uisce Éireann is calling on customers across Co. Roscommon to conserve water as demand rises during the warm weather.
While no restrictions are currently in place across the region, the water utility is reminding customers supplied by the Boyle/Ardcarne Regional Water Supply Scheme to reduce their usage in the coming days.
It's saying there's been a noticeable increase in water use across Boyle, Ardcarne, Grangemore, Croghan, Cortober, Ballinameen, Ballymore and surrounding areas.
It's warning tested water is being used more quickly than it can be produced and stored in local reservoirs.
Uisce Éireann is encouraging people to drop the hose, turn off the tap, and take short showers instead of a bath.
