Burglary rates increase by nearly 30% in local Garda division

Nationally, burglaries increased by 2 per cent, with just over 2 thousand 100 incidents happening in Quarter 1 of this year alone.

Burglary rates have increased by nearly 30 per cent across the Roscommon-Mayo-Longford Garda division.
A PhoneWatch review analysing figures from the CSO revealed there 49 burglaries in the division from Quarter 1 in 2025 to Quarter 1 in 2026.

Nationally, burglaries increased by 2 per cent, with just over 2 thousand 100 incidents happening in Quarter 1 of this year alone.
