Students from Roscommon town, Ballymahon and Manorhamilton have all won scholarships through the Naughton foundation this year.
The scholarship is intended to reward and encourage exceptional students going on to study in the STEM field at university.
This year, Tommy Seery, from St Clare's Comprehensive, Manorhamilton has been selected and he's to study Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin.
Zoe Guinane, from the Mercy Secondary School in Ballymahon has also been successful and she'll study science at University College Dublin.
Roddie McGuinness from the CBS in Roscommon is also a recipient of the scholarship.
He's begun work on Computational Thinking at National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
As well as a contribution to their studies, the fund also provides for a prize for each schools' science labs.
