Funding has been approved to help employ seven more staff for St Christopher's in Longford.
The service for people with special needs in Longford and surrounding counties supports 135 people through its day services.
Presently though just 26 attendees are accessing face to face services during Covid-19.

The funding confirmed today will allow seven more staff to be recruited and this will help expand the day-care service at the Longford facility.
Local TD Joe Flaherty says the seven extra staff will make a huge difference to the clients and their families, especially where parents are getting older.
