Appointment: Congrats to Enda Nugent who has been appointed manager of the Roscommon U17 team for 2021. Best of luck to Enda, his management team and all of the players for the year ahead.

Support our Ladies club: We are asking our members to sign up and use the power of their weekly shop to support our Ladies club.

All you have to do is sign up for the Lidl App and select St Brigid’s Roscommon as your club. Shop 6 times in Lidl by April 6th spending over €30, scanning in your Lidl Plus card on your phone each time and that's it!

Full details on the benefits for our Ladies club are available on our social media channels. For those who have already signed up, thank you and remember to keep collecting those stamps!

Pieta House fundraiser: Well done to one of our players, Colin Daly who took part in 'Freezebury' for Pieta House every day over the month of February.

In chilly Irish Sea waters off the coast of Dublin, student teacher Colin spent an extra minute in the sea on each day of this month.

So Colin did one minute on February 1st, two minutes on February 2nd, and so on, until he reached day 29 today and 29 minutes this evening. Brave man Colin but what a great charity initiative!

Jerusalema challenge: Well done to all the staff at our local nursing home, Tearmainn Bhride in Brideswell who brilliantly performed the Jerusalema challenge.

We would also like to acknowledge the staff’s tremendous ongoing work and care on the frontline during this pandemic.

Award: Photographer James Crombie's brilliant photo featuring one of our very own supporters, Eamon O'Rourke came second in the sports non-action category at the Press Photographer of the Year awards on Friday last.

Back in September during the restrictions on match attendances, Eamon ingeniously used a ladder so he could enjoy our senior team's SFC semi-final victory against Boyle in Hyde Park. Professional photographer James spotted his opportunity and captured a photo for the ages!
