Slight decrease in number of people on live register in Shannonside region

The number of people on the live register across the Shannonside region decreased slightly between September and October

There were 1-thousand 660 people on the register in Leitrim in October, an increase on the September figure of 1-thousand 616.

Both Roscommon and Longford experienced a slight decrease from September to October

Longford had 2 thousand and 81 people on social welfare in October, a decrease from 2-thousand 108 in September, while Roscommon had 2 thousand and 54 in October, down from 2-thousand and 69.

Nationally, 182,600 people were on the live register in October, a decrease of 800 on the month previous
