Children in the Shannonside region have among the highest take up of the MMR vaccine nationally.
New figures from the HSE also show that the uptake of the HPV vaccine for girls has increased locally after a significant drop in 2016.
According to the National Healthcare Quality Reporting System, 95% of all children who were due to receive the MMR vaccine at 24 months in 2019 did so in Roscommon as well as Longford/Westmeath.
The figure for children in Sligo-Leitrim was 93% with the national average at 91%.
The Roscommon Local Health Office had the highest uptake rate of 96% of the Meningococcal C vaccine in the country and was the only area to achieve the target in Ireland.
The report also reveals that the rate of immunisation for HPV among girls in secondary school has bounced back after a significant drop in the 2016/17 academic year.
In the 2017/18 school year, 59% of all girls in Roscommon received the HPV jab which prevents cervical cancer - up from 48% the year previously.
In Sligo-Leitrim the figure was up to 62.2 up from 48 the year previous and in Longford in 2017/18, 66% of all girls received the vaccine - up from 48% the previous school year.
