'Roscommon parents are going without food to feed their children'

Service coordinator Felicia Loughrey said many families are struggling.

The co-ordinator of South Roscommon Family Resource Centre says funding announced yesterday 'is a drop in the ocean'.

It comes following an allocation of €60,000 confirmed by the Minister for Community and Rural Development.

Minister Dara Calleary announced €1 million for local projects during a visit to Roscommon yesterday.

South Roscommon FRC was one of four groups in Roscommon to receive a combined total of €213,000.
