A new initiative by An Post where customers can send letters, large envelopes, packets and parcels up to 2Kg addressed for free to residents in nursing homes, residential accommodation in the mental health or disability sectors and convalescent homes has been welcomed by Senator Micheál Carrigy.
Customers can avail by writhing Free Post where the stamp would normally be affixed and to include a return address on all items.
Senator Carrigy who is a Postmaster himself has praised An Post for introducing this service which begins from tomorrow at a time that no visits are permitted due to current restrictions.
He also said that he would like to thank all mail and counter An Post staff who have worked throughout the pandemic to provide such vital services.
