Roscommon's Tourism Officer says there's been a positive response to plans for a new waterfront development at Hodson Bay. Over 130 people attended the first public consultation at the Hodson Bay Hotel last week. Plans for a new flagship tourism project include a new marina with floating boardwalk and a water play experience.
Funding of over €1.3 million has already been secured for the development, which will be managed by Roscommon County Council in partnership with Waterways Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. Tourism Officer with Roscommon County Council, Lisa Joy, says another public consultation will take place in the coming weeks:
