Just over 200 electric vehicles have been registered in the Shannonside region so far this year. New data from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry shows that 108 electric vehicles have been registered in Roscommon so far this year which is the highest locally. Meanwhile, 61 electric vehicles have been registered in Longford whilst there have been 42 in Leitrim. SIMI Director General Brian Cooke says the Government needs to continue to build on the latest stats:
