The Lus Na Greine resource centre in Granard is celebrating this week after winning a grant of €5,000 in the Bank of Ireland Begin Together Awards.
The awards were designed to recognise the business and communities who've come together to support local recovery and rebuilding in response to the Covid pandemic.
Project co-ordinator Eileen Finan says the award is as a result of the work of the people of Granard and they hope to use a lot of the money on providing a dedicated space for young people at the centre.
She says it would be the first time that young people have their own area at the centre and it's something that's badly needed, now more than ever.
