A motorist has been seriously injured following a road crash between Tulsk and Strokestown this morning.
The two-vehicle collision occurred just after 9am at Clonfree and the N5 is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.
At least one person has been taken to hospital with what have bene described as critical injuries.

The road is currently closed and diversions are in place at Tulsk and in Strokestown, with HGVs urged to take marked routes.
Motorists are also being urged to drive with caution and avoid the area if possible.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them at 094-9620019.
