Minister for Older People, Kieran O'Donnell will officially open the new Heartlands Care Centre and Day Care Centre in Athlone next Friday.
The purpose-built facility is a major investment in older persons' services across the Midlands.
It will provide residential, respite, palliative and day care services for older people in the region.

The official opening takes place from 11am to 12.30pm at Clonbrusk West, Coosan, Athlone.
