Cllr Gerry Hagan 'beyond excited' at becoming new Longford Cathaoirleach

He replaced fellow Fine Gael Cllr Garry Murtagh as Cathaoirleach at this afternoon's AGM.

Cllr Gerry Hagan says he's honoured to become the new Cathaoirleach of Longford County Council. He replaced fellow Fine Gael Cllr Garry Murtagh as Cathaoirleach at this afternoon's AGM. Hagan first became a councillor in 2018 and most recently topped the poll in the Longford MD in the last local elections.

Independent Councillor Mark Casey has been elected as Leas Cathaoirleach. Darragh O'Connor attended the AGM and spoke to the new Cathaoirleach, Cllr Gerry Hagan:
