Martin Kenny believes there needs to be an affordable housing sector run by the state.

He was speaking following his appointment as Sinn Féin's spokesperson on agriculture this week.

It follows a reshuffle due to the departure of Kathleen Funchion, who has been elected to the European Parliament.
