The impact of a poultry litter ban has been raised on the floor of the Dáil.
Due to its high phosphates content, it is in high demand in the Republic of Ireland.
Traditonally farmers would receive the litter from farmers in the north.
However, a ban is currently is in place barring its exportation across the island.
