The government is giving An Post €15 million a year until 2030 to try to prevent more post office closures.

The Dáil's been told elderly people in Leitrim are forced to travel up to 20 miles to collect their pensions.

Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny says it's due to the closure of several post offices near them.

The government is giving An Post €15 million a year until 2030 to try to prevent more closures.
