A Longford senator is urging everyone to re-engage with the Covid app to stop the spread of the virus.
Over two million people initially downloaded the app when it was first rolled out last autumn to alert people if they had been in contact with someone who was Covid positive,.
However, the winter has seen a sharp drop in the number of people checking in each day to update their health which is the only way the Bluetooth tracking works.
Senator Micheal Carrigy says now more than ever people need to use the app.
