Local youth activist calls for fairer pay for younger workers

The National Minimum Wage Acts currently allow for employers to pay a lower wage to workers under the age of 20.

A local youth activist has called on the Government to rethink current minimum wage rates.
The National Minimum Wage Acts currently allow for employers to pay a lower wage to workers under the age of 20.

Mandate Trade Union is calling on the government to listen to the advice of the Low Pay Commission and ensure all workers are paid fairly, regardless of age.
