Schools in the Shannonside region are set to receive nearly 45,000 euro in funding for Education for Sustainable Development projects.
Minister for Education and Youth, Hildegarde Naughton has announced the delivery of over €850,000 in funding for Education for Sustainable Development projects in 390 schools across the country.
Examples of these projects include; making the school and its grounds more sustainable; teacher training in ESD; student-led projects; collaborative projects between the school and the local community and more.
Longford is set to receive 10,500 euro in funding across 5 schools, meanwhile Leitrim will receive 10,000 across 4 schools while Roscommon is set to receive 24,480 euro across 11 schools.
