A local publican has recounted her shock following a break in at her premises in Longford last week. Brid Rhattigan, who runs The Pier Inn near Lanesboro, says thieves removed a cash register during the incident. It's believed the raiders gained entry to the pub through a window on Tuesday night of last week.
Brid, who leases the premises at Lisnacusha near Lanesboro, says not much was taken during the robbery. Speaking to Shannonside News, she said she was left shaken by the incident initially but it's busy as usual this week:
