Farmers and landowners in Leitrim are being asked to help out and highlight any ring forts on their property.
Ring forts date back centuries and have a major connection to Irish history and folklore, as well as early Irish agriculture.
A celebration of the ancient monuments will take place tomorrow in Leitrim with a visit to the ring fort in Kiloghert and a seminar from Dr Susan Curran in the Dock Theatre in Carrick on Shannon.

Those with the forts on their land are also asked to register the location ahead of a celebration in May where those forts will be photographed.
