Leitrim community groups urged to share 'Design Thinking' ideas in new project

Almost 20 projects across County Leitrim will be selected to receive special training as part of the scheme

Community groups in Leitrim are being encouraged to get involved in a new project which aims to help them find solutions to their local challenges

A new special training scheme to encourage 'design thinking' has been launched for the region which it is hoped will help areas deal with the challenge of Covid as well as Brexit.

Funding for the scheme is provided through the LEADER programme and will see more than 100 training modules delivered across a two-year period.

The 'Innovating Communities' project asks local areas to upload their 'challenges' to a special website and the most popular challenges on the website will then be selected for special training with 17 projects in Leitrim to be selected over the two year period.
