The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 13 additional deaths related to COVID-19.
All 13 of the deaths occurred in January.
As of midnight, Saturday 16th January, the HPSC has been notified of 2,944 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Longford and Leitrim have the lowest amount of new cases recorded for today with 7 each, while 16 were recorded for Roscommon and 36 for Westmeath.
As of 2pm today, 1,928 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, with 195 people being treated in ICU.
There have been 68 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
