Investigations are still ongoing in Roscommon over the large bog fire that occurred last night

Fire service units from Roscommon and Longford attended a 'large bog fire' outside Strokestown last night.

The blaze grew on land along a link road towards Tarmonbarry, on the Eastern side of the county.

Firefighters brought it under control and there were no injuries according to eyewitness Senator Eugene Murphy.
