The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 54 additional deaths related to COVID-19 with 50 of the deaths occurring in January.
The Centre has also bene informed of 1,335 new Covid cases across the country.
Longford has seen 13 more cases registered , with 5 in Leitrim, and fewer than 5 in Roscommon.

As of 2pm today, 1,670 COVID-19 patients were in hospital with 217 of them being treated in ICU.
