The head of Longford County Council is hopeful that the Providers building will be one of the first to benefit from a major cash boost for the county.
€10.44 million euro has been allocated for the Camlin Quarter project by the government, with over 2.4 million also allocated for enhancement works in Athlone.
Several areas of targeted intervention are set to benefit from the cash - with the Council likely to meet with the regeneration team in the coming weeks to prioritise certain areas.
