Funeral arrangements have been confirmed for the man who died in an explosion in Co Roscommon last month.
Des Deegan will be laid to rest in Co Meath next Thursday.
The 72-year-old died in an explosion and subsequent fire at his home in the Oaks in Frenchpark on June 18th.
His property was destroyed while other homes were also damaged.
Fire services from Boyle and Ballaghaderreen attended the scene and Des's body was removed from the scene for a post-mortem examination.
It took several weeks before his remains were released to his family.
But this has now taken place as the formal identification process is complete.
Des will repose in Gibneys Funeral Home, Oldcastle, next Wednesday evening, from 6pm to 8pm.
His funeral Mass is taking place next Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in St Brigid’s Church, Oldcastle, with burial afterwards in Ballinlough Cemetery.
