Former mayor of Boyle, Jane Suffin, has pulled out of the local elections.
The former town councillor announced last month she would be running as an Independent in June.
But she says she has had to withdraw, saying she's very disappointed but "sometimes life throws you a curve ball out of the blue".

She was recently campaigning against plans for refugee housing in Roscommon.
Ms Suffin said: "I will continue with my the other members of Boyle Concerned Locals to fight tooth and nail for what's best for Boyle. Thank you to everyone who has wished me well over the last few weeks."
