Roscommon Fire Service is being praised for putting out a blaze at a Strokestown supermarket yesterday.
It broke out in the store room of Hanly's Eurospar at 11 o'clock in the morning.
It was caused by an electrical fault and there was extensive smoke damage to the supermarket.
Three fire-brigade units put out the blaze.
