Fire Service units from Longford, Granard and Mohill are currently tackling a major wildfire on the Longford Leitrim Border.
Its the third day of firefighting at Bohey/Cloonaugh Bog close to Drumlish Village.
Local units attended the scene on Sunday night and put out the fire, but were forced to attend the scene again yesterday after it re-ignited and spread rapidly.
There were concerns yesterday that the fire could spread to local commercial forestry, endangering homes and farms.
Longford Fire Services yesterday prevented that, but due to the nature of bog fires and their tendancy to burn underground, the fire re-ignited today.
The fire has now reached forestry alongside the bog and the fire service are currently dealing with two large blazes in woodland.
Dry conditions and strong winds are resulting in difficult conditions for fire fighters on the ground.
