247 people across the region have passed away due to Covid-19, with a total of 4,631 COVID-19 related deaths occurring across Ireland.

Following yesterday's report of no local cases, there have been five or less new cases of the virus reported in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon today.

Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim recorded no new cases of the virus today, while Longford is still reporting the nation's second highest infection rate.

Locally less than five new cases of the virus have been reported in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon, with Longford still one of the counties with the highest 14 day incidence rate of Covid-19 transmission.

Close to 50 people are receiving treatment for confirmed or suspected cases of the coronavirus in the region's hospitals today.
