Longford's incidence rate rises again despite low local Covid figures

434 new cases of Covid have been notified this evening as well as one additional death.

Of today's new cases, 217 are in Dublin, 30 in Kildare, 30 in Cork, 27 in Limerick, 21 Donegal and the remaining 109 cases are spread across 20 other counties

As of 8am today, 166 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 48 are in ICU. 17 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours. Locally, six new cases have been reported in Longford, fewer than five in Leitrim and fewer than five in Roscommon.

Longford's incidence rate is now at 185.9 - the fourth highest in the country- a rise on Thursday's figure of 173.7.
