Emergency services dealing with bog fires near Strokestown

Several units of local fire brigades are dealing with bog fires just off the N5 this evening near Strokestown.

The blazes were first reported late this afternoon with fires seen in several different areas. Fire brigades from Roscommon and Longford are battling the fires.

No reports of any injuries have been made and it is not yet clear if the fires were started deliberately.
