A salon owner has appeared in court after being charged for breaching Covid-19 legislation.

48-year-old Christine McTiernan of Ashfield Rise, Balbriggan was arrested this morning at her business premises.

C and N Beauty Rooms on Dublin Street in Balbriggan was opened for a second day in a row this morning.

Around twenty minutes after opening it's doors, Gardaí arrived and arrested the salon owner.

Christine McTiernan appeared before Swords District Court this afternoon, charged under the health act for opening her business.

She was released on bail to appear before Balbriggan District Court on March 25th.
