Judge Kenneth Connolly dealt with the case in Roscommon Circuit Court today.

Around €2m worth of drugs were seized by Gardaí and Revenue officers last week in various locations which include Longford and Roscommon.

Gardaí received the report of the incident, which occurred in the Shanmullagh area, close to Ballinamuck shortly before 6pm on Sunday.

Judge Eiteáin Cunningham adjourned the case until the July 9 sitting of Sligo District Court, by consent, when Mr Cylka will appear by videolink.

Bartosz Cylka, with an address at Arderry, Corrawaleen, Co Leitrim, appeared before a special sitting of Carrick-on-Shannon District Court tonight.

The figures come following a parliamentary question by Independent Ireland TD Ken O'Flynn to Minister for Justice, Jim O'Callaghan.

But he's been warned he'll be imprisoned if he steps out of a line during a suspended sentence.

Niall McGowan (32), of Newtownforbes, Co Longford, appeared before a sitting of Longford Circuit Court, having been found guilty of five counts of sexual assault on the ten-year-old girl, at his residence.

A judge described the case, which happened in March 2025, as "absolutely horrific".

Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the search of a man on Richmond Street in the town shortly after 4pm last Saturday.

Both men were charged with an alleged violent disorder incident on the evening of February 9 last, at Teffia Park, Longford.

Fine Gael TD Micheál Carrigy's comments come following a double stabbing in the county town on Monday, during which two men suffered serious injuries.

Emergency services attended the incidents and no injuries have been reported.
