A Roscommon food stall has been served with a closure order following a HSE inspection.
Twisted Dough Wicklow which operated at The Crescent in Boyle, was found to present or likely to present a grave and/or immediate danger to public health.
During observation, a HSE inspector noted an immediate risk of cross contamination due to raw chicken being prepared on a small table immediately adjacent the coffee machine.
The stall was not served with a supply of hot water, making proper cleaning and disinfection of work surfaces, utensils and equipment impossible.
The lack of hot water for disinfecting hands following raw meat preparation and waste disposal was also noted to be a risk as the operator was involved in the direct handling of ready to eat foods.
