The Castlerea Rose Festival gets underway later today.
Many music acts are due to take to the stage in the West Roscommon town over the course of the festival, which runs until August 2nd.
A grand opening parade will take place tonight at 8pm on the town square.
Local Councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice says it's a big boost to the local economy:
