One person has died following a two vehicle collision in Co. Cavan yesterday evening.
The incident happened on the R162 near Lough Silan and Corclare in Shercock.
Emergency services attended the scene along with Gardaí.
The road will remain closed for a forensic investigation, which is expected to be carried out today.
Local diversions remain in place.
The following diversion are in place : The R162 shercock/Cootehill rd is closed at castleblaney jct traffic is being diverted onto castleblaney rd R181 to lisadarragh cross L4023 brings you back on R178 shercock/ Carrickmacross rd.
