Over 200 spaces are to be created at Castlerea Prison by 2028.
Construction is progressing on a number of significant accommodation projects at the prison, which will increase capacity over the coming years.
Work on the Harristown Block began in February of this year.
The development is on track to deliver accommodation for up to 68 men when it is completed in 2028.
Meanwhile, Phase 1 of The Grove Housing Development is nearing completion, with construction expected to finish later this year.
The project will provide 24 new accommodation spaces.
Progress is also underway on Phase 2 of The Grove Housing Development.
The construction contract has been awarded and work has now commenced.
Once complete in 2028, the development will deliver accommodation for 126 men.
