A Carrick-on-Shannon menswear store says it hopes to be allowed to re-open soon after Easter after having been closed for the past several weeks.

Gerard Fitzgerald from Gerard Anthony Menswear says he doesn't see why his and other similar stores had to close because he believes the space available had allowed for a very safe shopping experience for customers.

He says that online business has provided some level of business since January 1st because people know the shop and trust it do deliver a quality product, but overall there has been a major drop in sales.
