The number of people with Covid in local hospitals has increased by 120 per
cent in a week.
314 people were receiving treatment last night, according to the latest HSE
figures.
This day last week saw 143 people with Covid-19 in local hospitals. That
figures has increased by 120 percent since then.
Cavan General has seen its number of patients with Covid more than double -
it now stands at 52, up from 22.
Galway University has the highest number in the region at 102, followed by
Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda at 97. That's an increase from 47 and 43
last Sunday night.
Sligo Hospital was treating 36 patients with Covid last night, with 11 in
Mullingar, 10 in Navan and six in Portiuncula in Ballinasloe.
All local hospitals have seen an increase over the last week, with
Mullingar, Navan and Portiuncula increasing by five, two and two
respectively.
