A Ballinasloe senator believes better supports neds to be put in place for private nursing homes when they report Covid cases among staff or residents.
The Director of Nursing at the Nightingale Nursing Home in Ahascragh says they feel abandoned after a major Covid cluster was discovered earlier this week.
25 of 27 residents tested positive for the virus and one person has died.

The HSE says it's providing extra staff support to the nursing home but it's believed that they are only being provided for the next two days and only for night shifts.
Senator Aisling Dolan says all nursing homes need additional support.
